Welcome!

Welcome to my very own food blog!  Eating Well is the Best Revenge has been my personal motto for over a decade now.  What i mean is that Eating Well is the best revenge for all life's petty insults.  Nothing makes me feel more well than good food.  Life is too short to eat boring food.  And here in Norway, eating out is not an option to take very often.  So i make it myself.

And anyway, i have been a keen cook ever since i was a single parent.  Along the way i have had many food-learning adventures and for me, cooking is a journey of constant discovery and adventure.  I have been a vegetarian; an omnivore; ate simple and ate fancy; worked briefly as a sous-chef; catered friends events; and have been sharing my adventures and discoveries with friends and family for years.

So now, here is my chance to share them with you.  I hope you find this blog inspiring.  It is not meant to be something like the Good Housekeeping food laboratory -- it is not my full time occupation and while i do refine my recipes with repetition and practice, i would be the last one to say that they are scientific in proportions, or definitive.  Each of us cooks our own way, with slightly different flair and we each bring a different skill-set to it.  This is my own.  I hope you enjoy it!
